The Herbarium Collection, 2021
I’m continually drawn to the stunning detail in wood, rocks, leaves, and petals but love to deconstruct what I see and show the characteristics close up and less literally. This allows me to visually communicate the quiet, calming nature of plants and the natural world into flowing and satisfying compositions. One of my favorites was collected and arranged by the poet Emily Dickinson which you can view here. Nature has a way of letting time pass in a meaningful way, it accomplishes what it needs to in a season and then it’s time to move forward.
